1ST ANNUAL TORNADO ALLEY INVITATIONAL BABE RUTH/CAL RIPKEN BASEBALL TOURNAMENT, DRESDEN, TN SET FOR: MAY 18TH, 20TH, AND 21ST WHO: City of Dresden Babe Ruth League and Dresden Parks and Recreation Department WHAT: 1st Annual Tornado Alley Invitational Babe Ruth/Cal Ripken Baseball Tournament WHERE: Fields 1 & 2, Wilson Park, Dresden, TN WHEN: Thursday, May 18, 2006 – Time: 1st Game 6:00 p.m., Last Game 8:10 p.m. Saturday, May 20, 2006 – Time: 1st Game 9:00 a.m., Last Game 10:00 p.m. Sunday, May 21, 2006 – Time: 1st Game 1:00 p.m., Last Game 7:30 p.m.
WHY: On April 2nd, 2006 tornadoes crippled our brother community of Bradford. The Bradford City Park assessed damages exceeding $80,000, but only a portion of this money will be covered by FEMA leaving the City of Bradford to cover over $20,000 just to put the park back together the way it was. It is my opinion that if you have the ability to help, you have the responsibility to help with the 1st Annual Tornado Alley Invitational Baseball Tournament. On May 20th & 21st we will be selling: Hamburgers, Hotdogs, BBQ Sandwiches, BBQ Chicken Plates and Pizza. On Sunday before the championship game Tom Taylor will be giving Chances to win two cars! Other prizes will be given away as well.
